3) Mead Making at Home-
As a fun way to wrap up the year and maybe give you a project for the winter months, we are going to talk about Mead making at home.
A local Homebrew store owner will discuss the principles of making mead and the equipment needed.
Then club members Bruce & JoJo Richardson and Albert DeVries will share their favourite recipes and tips.
Bring your favourite mead recipe to share with the group!
4) Extracting Hack- using a Hop Spider Filter- there was an article about this in the most recent OBJ.
We will have the filter at the meeting so you can check it out.
5) Honey Tins- does anyone else collect honey tins? My collection keeps growing so I thought I would bring it to show you. If you have an interesting tin or other beekeeping related
artifact/collection bring it in or send me a picture.
6) Samples and Door Prize
I've just returned from the OBA AGM & conference in Kingston. There I was able to connect with
some future speakers and get ideas from other local bee associations. I was also sent back with some samples for you guys and some
promotional items that we can use as meeting door prizes!
